This evocative drama delves into concepts of crime and punishment, limitations of the law, and the importance of family through the twists and turns in the life of Justice Gopinath and his wife. As a judge, Justice Gopinath is bound by the rules and regulations of the law, and even when it is manipulated and taken advantage of, he finds himself helpless but to mete out justice as per law. So, when an honest villager is wrongfully convicted of an attempt to kill his employer he is forced to sentence him for years in prison, but is also haunted by guilt. Knowing that the wealthy and powerful have manipulated the system, the judge tries to make amends by adopting the victim's son during his prison term. Justice Gopinath's wife, who cannot bear children becomes inordinately attached to the young boy, Ravi. What will happen when the time comes for Ravi to be returned to his birth parents?
