Indian film actor and television host Annu Kappor hails from Itwara district of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Famously remembered for hosting the famous musical show in India - 'Antakshari' for 13 years, Annu Kapoor began his career as a stage actor and was noticed for his role in the 1982's classic 'Ek Ruka Hua Faisla', which was directed by elder brother Ranjeet Kapoor. He has received a filmfare award and a national award for his offbeat role in the movie 'Vicky Donor'. He also hosts the nostalgic TV show 'The Golden Era - With Annu Kapoor' which talks about the glory of Indian cinema and the memories and unheard tales associated with the movies and its stars. Kapoor's entire family is associated with art and patriotism, His mother Shabnam is a poet, teacher and scholar of Urdu, Arabic and Persian. Both his siblings are screenwriters and passionate movie makers. Annu has four children from two marriages. He has also produces many a musical talent contests for children and a Bengali-language musical talent-hunt show, 'Gaan Gaao Taaka Naao'. He is also recognized for his role in the movie 'Jolly LLB 2' alongside actor Akshay Kumar.
