Manimaran, a good fellow residing in a small town of Mayiladuthurai runs his own local cable channel. As a news anchor, he highlights the happenings of his town and runs into trouble with the local MLA. The local MLA hires a killer named Vysarpadi Malli to eliminate Manimaran. During a tough situation, Malli ends up helping Mani's pregnant sister and even donates blood for her to survive. Mani leaves to Chennai to search for the man who saved his sister but instead, he comes across Ashok Mithran, a high profile advocate who fights cases for evil politicians and decides to take him down for the welfare of his friends.
