Jayaraj is a highly principled man who is involved in labour union activities. When his parents object to his activities, he leaves home and begins living with other union members. Bhadran is a savvy college student who is an expert advisor when it comes to writing love letters and wooing young women in general.
After much struggle, Poornima finally gets approval from her mother to join a college. However, she is constantly fearful of interacting with members of the opposite sex, due to her mother's dire warnings.
