Where did you watch this movie?

This psychological drama brings to life the struggles and suffering of a woman, who must come to terms with the trauma she has undergone in her childhood. Embracing the past is easier said than done, and this movie insightfully depicts the painful process of healing. Frankie is a woman of African-American origin, who suffers from multiple personality disorder. She has two alters: Genius, a seven-year-old child, and Alice, a Southern white racist woman, with whom Frankie must make peace with, if she is to merge all the disintegrated pieces of herself. Her disorder occurred as a result of a traumatic incident in her childhood which she has repressed. With the help of her psychiatrist she receives the help she needs in order to live a life close to normal.
