Set in the year 1942, Archie Glass tries to get into Hollywood and find the woman of his dreams so when he is offered a job he begins a journey into Los Angeles where actors who play the maids, the busboys, the background actors in jungle films, all spring forth into the foreground in this dramatic noir where a man does anything to make his dream come true. Archie discovers that Hollywood is filled with more lies than truth and when he ultimately finds the woman of his dreams he begins to understand the dark reality of being a black man in tinsel town
