An Affair to Remember (1957)

Nickie, a playboy meets Terry aboard the transatlantic ocean liner SS Constitution on his trip to New York to see his grandmother and he takes her along with him. During his meeting with his grandmother Janou, Terry sees another side to Nickie and gradually they fall in love with each other. When Janou informs Terry about his destructive relationship with his art, Terry makes it a point to help him overcome his issues. They promise each other that if they succeed in ending their relationships they must each other at the top of the empire state building. On the destined day, Terry meets with an accident that renders her physically disabled and Nickie who is unaware of the situation misunderstands that he has been rejected but destiny has other plans for them when they meet each other at a ballet years later with Nickie finally pursuing his career as an artist.
