Some shots were taken at height of 14,000 feet above sea level and the crew shot at a temperature as low as −10 degrees Celsius. Shooting also took place in Udaipur, and other parts of Rajasthan where the crew suffered due to the overwhelming heat. The crew also visited Kashmir and filmed at numerous locations such as Kongdori in Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Srinagar.

The title of the film was taken from a hit song by the same title, with music by R. D. Burman from the movie 'Jawani Diwani' (1972).
