Indian film actor, producer, Visual Effects co-ordinator,and photographer, Rana Daggubati is famously known for his works in various industries such as Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Rana made his acting debut with the Telugu blockbuster movie 'Leader', for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He received national and international recognition with the Indian blockbuster movie 'Baahubali: The Beginning' for his role of the antagonist -Bhallala Deva. Rana has also received the National Film Award for co-producing Bommalata – A Bellyful of Dreams and won the State Nandi Award for Best Special Effects in 2006 for the Telugu film Sainikudu starring Mahesh Babu.
Rana Daggubati was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Telugu film producer Daggubati Suresh Babu and Lakshmi Daggubati. He is the grandson of famous film producer D. Ramanaidu, who was graced with the Padma Bhushan award, in recognition for his contribution to Telugu cinema. He is the nephew of Telugu superstar Venkatesh Daggubati and is also cousin to actor Naga Chaitanya.
Rana has ventured into many industries including - the Hindi film industry where he made his debut movie with 'Dum Maaro Dum' alongside Bipasha Basu, and had a guest appearance in the Tamil movie 'Aarambam' alongside Ajit Kumar. He made his actual Kollywood debut with 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and has also appeared in a cameo role in the Hindi blockbuster 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
