Emotionally charged and multi-layered, this action-oriented romantic tale follows the fluctuating fortunes in the life of Selvam (Murali). He leads a carefree and happy existence in Muttam (Kanyakumari Dist). However, when his mother's life becomes endangered, Devaraj aka Periyavar (Sathyaraj) uses his power and influence to save her. So, despite his knowledge that Periyavar is a ruthless gangster, Selvam becomes his chief-henchmen to show his utmost and undying gratitude.
The twist in the tale comes when Selvam finds himself falling madly in love with Jyothi (Revathi), the sister of Peter (Sarat Babu), an honest and committed police inspector who has been newly posted to take charge of their town.
Periyavar pretty much runs the town and though he helps people in need, he is a diabolical kingpin, who will not compromise on his hold of the town for anything. Being uncompromising in his morals, Peter is automatically drawn into a game of one-upmanship with Periyavar and his gang. He also consequentially cannot stand Periyavar’s chief henchman Selvam, and is consequentially drawn into continuous verbal and physical duels with him.
Will Jyothi ever accept Selvam's love? How will this conflict unfold? Will their love succeed despite all odds?
