Zindagi 50 50 has three stories of common people's dreams. To fulfill those dreams, they have to struggle hard. Sometimes, few get their dreams easily, whereas most struggle very hard sacrificing all values and principles to achieve their dreams. Only few get success after a long time whereas most have to lose everything.
The film narrates the stories of three women, belonging to different segments of the society: Rupa, a housewife, Madhuri, a prostitute and Naina, a struggling actress.
Rupa's husband, Birju, an auto driver, dreams of having his own house. Rupa struggles to fulfill his dream, in the process getting entrapped by PK Lele, a government servant who pushes her into a darker side of life. In the end she gets the house, but loses her respect.
Madhuri, later realizes that life is lived by fulfilling one’s needs and not one’s desires. Even a beggar can fulfill his own needs, but kings are unable to complete all their desires.
Naina, a Junior Artist, has big dreams in her life, but the harsh realities of the film industry makes her realize the reality of life that 'kabhi kisi ko mukkamal jahaan nahin milta'.
