Tobias Vincent Maguire was born on the 27th of June 1975. He is an American actor and film producer who began his career in the late 1980s. His first appearance in a feature film was a non-speaking part in The Wizard (1989). He is known for playing the title character in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film trilogy (2002, 2004, and 2007), as well as for his roles in Pleasantville (1998), The Cider House Rules (1999), Wonder Boys (2000), Seabiscuit (2003), Steven Soderbergh's The Good German (2006), Brothers (2009), and The Great Gatsby (2013). He has been nominated for the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Awards, and has received two Saturn Awards, including one for Best Actor. Maguire is also a producer whose credits include 25th Hour (2002), Whatever We Do (2003), and Seabiscuit (2003), for which he served as Executive Producer.
