Revealing Mistakes
Steam throttles clearly visible when the Terminator throws the biker onto the stove.

Factual Mistake
In the opening scene the semi tractor starts up and immediately drives away. If it had been sitting there for any period of time the driver would have had to wait for the air pressure to build up before he could have released the air brakes and pulled away.

Character Error
When Sarah breaks Dr. Silberman's hand, she tells him that there are 215 bones in the human body. The typical adult has only 206 bones.

Audio/Video Mismatch
After Sarah beats up the creepy guard at the mental hospital and is running down the hall with the nightstick, the sound is of hard soled shoes, yet Sarah is barefoot.

Audio/Video Mismatch
When the Terminator grabs the guy in the yellow shirt, the guy says "ah ah get him off of me" but his mouth doesn't move.

Continuity
The Terminator jumps his Harley off a ledge down into a ravine. In the first shot of the jump, the ledge he jumps from is pointed. In the next shot, it's flat.
Trivia:
In this film, Arnold Schwarzenegger had a total of 700 words to speak as dialogues. One of cinema's most iconic dialogues 'Hasta La Vista, Baby' is spoken in this film and is said to have paid him 85,000 USD.

James Cameron decided at the start of the writing process that he would never show the adolescent John Connor toting a firearm. True to his word, the character never carries a weapon in the film.

Robert Patrick trained in a rigorous running regime in order to be able to appear to run at high speeds without showing fatigue on film.

The film takes place from June 8 to June 9, 1995.

The mini-gun used in the film was the same mini-gun that was used in 1987's Predator (1987) also starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

To date, this is the only sequel to win an Academy Award when the previous movie wasn't even nominated.
