Trivia:
This is the first time Mark Wahlberg has appeared in the original and sequel of a movie.

Mila Kunis could not reprise her role of Lori because she was pregnant with her baby with partner, Ashton Kutcher.

In the trailer, the song Ted sings to prove he has "soul", is the same one Brian Griffin sang in "Brian the Bachelor" (Family Guy). Another project by Seth MacFarlane.

Stephen Collins was cast in a major cameo but replaced because of child sex abuse video confession.

A trailer for the film was leaked in November 2014 which had unfinished CGI on the main character Ted and the cameo done by Morgan Freeman.

In the trailer, John spills vials of sperm on himself as the shelf collapses. This scene is similar to the Family Guy episode, "Sibling Rivalry", in which the exact same thing happens to Peter Griffin, who is also voiced by Seth MacFarlane

Mark Wahlberg's good friend Johnny Alves (who the character 'Johnny Drama' from Entourage is based off of) tried out for a role in this film.

Amanda Seyfried also starred with Seth MacFarlane and Liam Neeson in the 2014 film A Million Ways To Die In The West

This marks Liam Neeson's fourth collaboration with Morgan Freeman. The first being Batman Begins (2005), the second being The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and the third being The Lego Movie (2014), although they share no scenes together.

Mila Kunis, who played Lori Collins in the first Ted movie, is not featured in the sequel.

Noelle Trodeau famous for Mark Wahlberg's reality show Breaking Boston, appears as a wedding guest in the film.
