'Savaale Samaali', Reality TV show tat works in very few Parts.

Savaale Samaali, Movie is based on running a Reality TV Show and the problems faced by the creators Ashok Selvan & Jagan. The thought of providing the underlying truths & gimmicks of a TV show is good, bt it is let down by weak story execution. I don't understand the concept of heroine in this movie, just for Poster & song sake added nothing spl. Urvashi makes us laugh as host of the show. Songs r another unwanted inclusion, nothing worth hearing too. First half is doesn't have anything to entertain , latter half is little engaging. Bits & Pieces of Interesting features which seems to take off, but doesn't carry through well.

*SPOILER*  fantastic performances by talented supporting cast

"Savvale Samaali" is one film which made me laugh my heart out in the recent times.Director Sathya Shiva however does not take the film to another level in spite of inspired casting and strong technical values.
This is a film where dialogue plays a crucial role and then we have artistes like the supremely talented Urvashi, M.S.Bhaskar and Naazar giving their best foot forward even in the supporting roles. The problem is the main cast..This film seems to have been designed to showcase comic actor Jegan's skills, the actor does do justice but turns too verbose and hams it up at times.Manobala as the director of the T.V show and Karunaas as the head of the dying T.V channel are fine though the latter has a more serious role.Hero Ashok Selvan looks like a melting cup of hot chocolate and performs neatly. It is good to see him make way for Jegan who gets the better lines. Paravai Muniamma as Ashok Selvan's grandma is a riot.Bindhu Madhavi looks beautiful and so chic and stylish in the song shot in the foreign locales.
The film does have its share of flaws and one unnecessary gaana song featuring Aishwarya talking about women empowerment and male bashing was totally uncalled for. It smacks poor taste. There is no coherent story line. The episodes featuring the television episodes for uniting lovers and their families in the second half are quite a scream. As a result the film looks like a string of forced comic events strung together. The film ends rather abruptly and there is focus on behind the scenes as the end credits roll.
At best a one time watch for the sterling performances by Urvashi, Nazar, M.s.Bhaskar, Manobala and Paravi Muniamma.Watch this one without being judgemental and laugh your hearts out.

I'm sorry to say.
The movie in not worthy.
Simply total waste of time.

My rating is 1.5/5.
