Trivia:
Bhamini (Anamika) is the daughter of Ravikumar (Mahesh) in real life.

Director Vipin Krishnan did voice overs for 2 people in this short: Sharma Ji and the flower shop guy.

Ravikumar had to leave India soon after the shoot. So director Vipin Krishnan recorded Ravikumar's voice in his laptop and used those sound clips for dubbing. He also recorded Bhamini's voice the same way. During editing, he met the editor's daughter Akshara Prabhath, who was the same age as Bhamini. So he decided to use Akshara Prabhath's voice instead of Bhamini's sound clips.

Aishwarrya Shaji recorded her voice over for Meera on her computer and sent the sound clips to the director.

Director Vipin Krishnan actually started shooting short film "The Venom" before he shot "Mother's day". However, Venom's shoot was delayed, so Mother's Day is regarded as his debut work.
