KARSEVAK is a historical drama film that tells the story of the struggle for the construction of the
Ram Temple in Ayodhya, from the birth of Lord Rama to the present day.Story:The film begins with
the birth of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, and the construction of the first Ram Temple by his father, King
Dasharatha.The film then shows how Lord Rama faced many challenges in his life and ultimately
defeated Ravana.In 1528, Mughal emperor Babur's general, Mir Baqi, destroyed the Ram Temple
and built a mosque in its place, known as the Babri Masjid.The film also shows how in 1853,
Hindus and Muslims clashed for the first time over the disputed site, when Hindus tried to build a
small temple near the mosque.In 1949, Hindu activists installed an idol of Lord Rama inside the
mosque, which further escalated the dispute.In the 1980s, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Sangh
Parivar supporters launched a campaign for the construction of the Ram Temple. Karsevaks
gathered in Ayodhya to demolish the mosque and build the temple.Mulayam Singh Yadav, who
was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at that time, deployed police to stop the karsevaks. But the
karsevaks attempted to attack the mosque, resulting in the loss of many lives
