Parasite tells the story of unemployed Ki-taek and his family who impersonate themselves to be someone else and get the opportunity to work in a wealthy and affluent Park family. How their lives get entangled with funny and disastrous consequences is what this story is all about. It’s a unique take on class divide and social inequality with a truly universal appeal which is resonating with audiences across the globe. The films stars Bong’s favourite actor Kang – Ho- Song who is being rooted for Best Supporting Actor at many Awards functions. The job of at-home tutor was chosen for Ki-woo because director Joon-ho Bong realized that sadly the job is the only way that families from two extreme ends of the class spectrum in modern-day South Korea can cross their paths convincingly in the story arc.
