Elia K Schneider

Writer, director and film producer Elia K Schneider was born in Venezuela and married to the Uruguayan-Venezuelan filmmaker Jose Ramon Novoa. Elia has won 15 national and international awards and was Venezuela’s biggest box office success of that year. Elia is a trained dancer and had also ventured into choreography in the industry. Her film Huelepega: Law Street (1999), based on street children immersed in the drug and was banned for a period of time but had went on to win several awards and appreciation.
