This is a story of two children from different backgrounds. Chintu a fortunate boy with well to do parents and Putti the daughter of a housemaid who cannot afford a formal education. Chintu detests the idea of learning, Putti yearns to be in his school-shoes. As the two children endeavour to cope with their conflicts, they encounter Balwan, a character from a different world; one where success is defined by honesty, hard work etc. The emphasis on these attributes is symbolically presented. Chintu understands the importance of education, ethics and veracity through Balwan and He shares his lessons with Putti. Then, the two children take it upon themselves to educate the underprivileged
