Cairo Shadows (TBA)

In Cairo, 2009, Salem—a 25-year-old Coptic former soldier—works on a pig farm in Manshyet Nasser, run by his brother-in-law, Gaby. When swine flu sparks public panic, meat sales collapse and the neighborhood’s garbage collectors face mounting stigma. Then the government orders every pig slaughtered. Caught between obeying the authorities and resisting the destruction of his livelihood, Salem must decide where his loyalties lie.
