14-year-old Kris trashes her neighbor's house and follows her mother's footsteps of going to the state penitentiary and to make amends for her actions she is forced to help Abe, an ex-bull rider with his errands at work and home. When she discovers her passion for the dangerous sport bull the bad influences in the world pull her back into her old ways. Meanwhile, Abe struggles with the pain of growing old with the only life that he has known. Kris and Abe forge a special connection as they help each other see new possibilities in the world and hope for a better future before it's too late.
