“Abharkha” literally translates to desire; a strong feeling of wanting to have something. The story travels through the journey of two characters, Milan and Mira, where we find childish affection, the needs of a capitalistic village and a women’s will to hide and fight. Milan is a quiet and aloof kid, He shares a very unique bond with his mother and a blind teacher at school named, Girish Sir. They guide him through life in their own simple ways. Mira, a woman who is battling her personal and professional life all by herself. Her resilience to hold on patiently as she is isolated in her journey of marriage. The story is in small moments of cries, whispers and smiles through Milan’s constant struggle and Mira’s hope, it succeeds and fails, but eventually lies in the moments in between
