In this deeply introspective and thought-provoking movie, Mukundan Mash is engaged in the process of writing a book titled '101 Chodhyangal' or 101 Questions.
Mukundan entrusts a young man, Anilkumar with the task of finding the questions for him. He will be paid one rupee for each question. Anilkumar manages to frame nearly 60 questions, but after that, he isn't able to come up with any more.
Then, Anilkumar adopts the strategy of trying to form the questions using his own life as the fundamental framework.
Right about this time, Anilkumar's father loses his job at the factory, causing further complications in his life, not to mention more obstacles to successful fulfillment of his assignment.
However, as Anilkumar delves deeper into the process of framing questions from his own life, he realizes some truths which narrate the story of '101 Chodhyangal'.
