Mahi, a beautiful wealthy heiress is born into a family in which she is treated as a lowly servant. She dreams of the day when a handsome prince would come to her rescue. Raja, an orphan who grows up to be a thief, lives on his quick wit and charm to make money. Their paths had crossed once before, as children, when Raja had saved Mahi's life. When their paths cross again, Raja decides to look at it as an opportunity to demand ransom. However, his plans get cut short when Yama, the vengeful god of death, decides to end his life prematurely. But, is that really the end of Raja?

Through the use of archive footage, deceased Taraka Rama Rao Nandamuri (the real-life grandfather of star Junior N.T.R.) was able to make a "heavenly" cameo appearance.

Junior N.T.R. lost 10 kg of weight to do this film.

A team of 80 professionals spread over three outsourcing houses, spearheaded by EFX, worked on the graphics.

The Yama Lokam set was erected over period of 90 days, with 300 workers working on the set day and night.
