Javed Abbas (Jackie Shroff) and Arun Verma (Shahrukh Khan), are members of a special task force that combats illegal drug trafficking in India. Their main target is a notorious drug lord called KKV (Nirmal Pandey), whom they apprehend during an encounter, which tragically ends in the death of Javed. To add salt to Arun's wounds, KKV goes scot-free with the help of his powerful connections and a corrupt system.
Javed was a widower with four children, and to Arun's shock and dismay, his Will places the children under Arun's legal care and responsibility. However, Arun is unable to handle the antics of four rebellious children and desperately seeks the
help of Geeta Choudhary (Juhi chawla), who readily agrees and moves in with him and the four children.
The children take an instant liking to Geeta, and things seem to settle down. One day, Arun finds out that his former partner's death was really a homicide. When he attempts to investigate, charges of drug-trafficking, and bribery are brought out against him. To add to his devastation, it seems that Geeta is not whom she claims to be, and is living a double life. How will matters unfold? Will Geeta and Arun join hands to defeat the criminal forces and ensure that justice is upheld?
