Trivia:
While the cast were shooting in Canada, a newspaper published an article accusing Sanjay Dutt of being a terrorist. Whether the article was a genuine claim or was done to promote circulation is not known, but it distressed Dutt so much that he canceled everything and flew back home - thus losing five days' work.

This film is inspired by the 1995 Hollywood blockbuster "The Usual Suspects". Though the entire movie differs in its screenplay, the characterization of Pankaj Kapoor bears resemblance to the character played by Kevin Spacey and the twist of the movie bears similarity.

This is a tribute to the most celebrated director Mukul S. Anand, who died while filming the 1997 incomplete film of the same name which also starred Sanjay Dutt in the lead role.
