Uzhaipalar Thinam (TBA)

Velu is a construction worker working at a construction site in Singapore. He works to support his parents and brother. His dream is to own a shop and start his own business in his hometown. He had to postpone his wedding plans to fulfill this desire. While on vacation leave, he had to marry Malathi, one of his relatives. His wife agrees that he should return to Singapore to work for another two years so that he could afford to build the shop and start a small business. Due to work commitments, he could not even return to India to be with his wife during his child’s birth. Velu's brother cheats and takes over his parents’ property without Velu’s knowledge. Construction work for his shop experiences undue delays due to non-payment for the construction work. Velu's plans to mortgage his parents’ property fall through. Furthermore, his shop had to be demolished as it was built on government land without proper clearances. Velu is in dilemma. Should he return to Singapore to work and support his family and chase his dream of owning a shop? Or should he just stay and struggle in India?
