The last of his kind. The best of the best.
Need somebody to lend a foot...? Meet "Bruce Leroy" Green.
A martial arts master so powerful, he hesitated to unleash that power...until the day he couldn't hesitate any longer.
Goofs:
Continuity
When Sho'nuff's crew enters the theater, the gang members stand on either side, in mixed lines of 3. When the camera cuts back, 3 women are in the left, and 3 men are on the right.

Character Error
A hand-painted sign in Daddy Green's restaurant says "a slice a day keeps the docter away". Doctor is misspelled.
Trivia:
During the introductory training sequence, Leroy Green karate-chops an arrow as it soars past him. It was a real stunt that took 2 hours to get right.

In 1997, Busta Rhymes parodied the character Sho'nuff in his music video for "Dangerous". In the video, the music cuts off, and Busta proclaims, "Yo Leroy! Am I not the baddest..." and replicates Sho'nuff's first on-screen speech.

Under pressure from the studio, trying to cut the budget by $2 million, director Michael Schultz and screenwriter Louis Venosta sat up all night in a hotel room, re-writing the script. When Venosta fell asleep, Schultz decided to delete 40 pages of the script. When Venosta awoke the next morning, the pair spent the day recreating the deleted material.

The movie showing in the theater when Sho Nuff first appeared to challenge Leroy was the martial arts classic Enter the Dragon starring Bruce Lee.

Taimak trained in Jeet Kune Do for this role and continued to do so.
