Chander (Ganesh), rescued when still a child from a drifting raft, falls foul of a villainous senapati (chieftain) (Pran). Exiled to a desolate island, he learns that he is the son of the good Sardar Mangal Sen (Jagirdar). He jumps into the sea whence he is rescued by a foreign ship which takes him to its home port.
