'Prema Oka Maikam' is a bold and raw love story that revolves around three characters – a call girl, a poet and a playback singer. Charmee plays the role of the call girl, but, she is no ordinary prostitute who sleeps with anybody willing to pay the price. She is intelligent, independent, and has made a conscious choice of profession, and treats it like any other career. While the bottom line is important, she also doesn't indulge in floozy or dangerous acts just to earn money. She has to like the person first to spend time with the client in order to entertain him. Such is her character. Rahul plays the romantic poet who chances upon meeting this woman and she takes an instant liking towards him. Saranya is cast as a popular playback singer who falls in love with the dreamy Rahul. Rahul and Saranya's relationship that blossoms into love is the core concept of this musical love story, while the presence of the call girl adds an element of complexity and boldness.
