Not every conspiracy is a theory.
Answer or die.
On the air. Out of time.
Who's in control?
Anyone who can get out, get out right now.
The stock index tickers never change more than +-0.01 point during the entire movie.

Factual Mistake
The wireless, handheld camera that Lenny uses towards the end of film wouldn't be able to transmit while in the elevator, and unless receiving equipment was placed along the route between the studio and Federal Hall, and again inside Federal Hall, wouldn't be able to transmit from there either.

Factual Mistake
The stock ticker under the televised scenes shows only a small loss on the Dow while all this is happening. Any attack on the financial media would provoke a strong selloff, at least until investors figured out they weren't next in for a terrorist incident.
This film marks the fourth time George Clooney and Julia Roberts have appeared in a film together. The other three are Ocean's Eleven (2001), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) and Ocean's Twelve (2004)

For scheduling reasons, Julia Roberts and George Clooney didn't work together a lot in the movie. Furthermore, Roberts shot all of her scenes with green screen on the monitors her character is constantly watching.

The screenplay for this film was featured in the 2014 Blacklist; a list of the "most liked" unmade scripts of the year

This is the fourth collaboration between Julia Roberts and George Clooney--they previously co-starred in Ocean's Eleven (2001), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), and Ocean's Twelve (2004). Clooney produced August: Osage County (2013) in which Roberts starred.

Due to his friendship with co-star Jack O'Connell, George Clooney has become a fan of O'Connell's hometown football team Derby County.

Director Jodie Foster was considered for Julia Roberts' roles in Pretty Woman (1990) and Conspiracy Theory (1997). Conspiracy Theory would have reunited her with Mel Gibson and Richard Donner, whom she worked with on Maverick (1994).

Julia Roberts' character was originally called Nancy.
