Laden with wise and wry humour, this upbeat tale revolves around Allyson, an overworked mother of three, who is sick of feeling frantic and harried all the time. Deciding that she needs a break from all the madness and mayhem, she goes on a mom's night out with her friends, Izzy and Sondra.
The three expect a night to unwind while Allyson's husband, Sean, takes care of all the kids. After their reservation gets cancelled, things go from bad to worse when Allyson's sister-in-law, Bridget, realizes that her infant son, Phoenix, is missing. The four travel across the city looking for the child, ultimately learning an important lesson in taking responsibility and accountability for one's own actions, and learning to quit blaming others for their own problems. While all this is going on, their husbands attempt to care for the children with disastrous results.
