Where did you watch this movie?

Aspiring to be a winner in 'Hunar Hi Winner', a part of India's got Talent, Mumbai-based skater Pinky Palkar (Deepika Padukone) gets run over by a vehicle. She does survive but loses her sight and returns home to her Tilakwadi-based widowed mother; a slacker brother, Rakesh; and a younger brother, Ganya. Disillusioned even more after her partner, Ajay, abandons her, she still hopes to participate in the contest, and unexpectedly gets encouragement from a fighter, Nandan Kamtekar (Neil Nitin Mukesh), who not only assists her, but also pays for her medical treatment. For a living he boxes Friday nights, and works for an underworld don, Usman Ali (Piyush Mishra). She convinces him to be her partner, he reluctantly agrees, and both realize that they are in love. She persuades him to get a regular job and quit boxing, and he does so. Neither of them are aware that Inspector K.K. Sethna (Manish Chaudhary) is continuing to investigate who ran over Pinky - despite of being warned by the Police Commissioner to close the file - and will soon conclude that the suspect is none other than Nandan. Watch as events unfold and the impact this will have on Pinky and Nandan.

Trivia:
This movie is loosely based on the English film 'Ice Castles'.

Despite the extreme nature of many of the stunts, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh transcended his fears and succeeded in doing most of his stunts himself. However, he has referred to this film in the press as "the most dangerous film of [his] career", due to the fact that it "requires the rawest of physical violence" which "can't be faked".

According to actor Neil Nitin Mukesh he didn't know how to ride bikes. And considers this his "most embarrassing moment of his life" as he had to reveal his ignorance and inability to the filmmakers. Later, the director convinced him to learn not only how to ride bikes but also to do extreme motorcycle stunts because of the script.

Digital face replacement was done for the extreme skate sequence over Deepika Padukone's and Neil Nitin Mukesh's body doubles.

In the movie, the reality show "India Got Talent" was featured. For the promotion of the movie, the lead actors guest-starred on the same reality program as the movie characters.

Lead actress Deepika Padukone underwent six months of skate training for the movie.

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh rejected all on-screen kiss scenes starting from his first movie Johnny Gaddaar opposite Rimi Sen, 'Aa Dekhen Zara' with Bipasha Basu, and on several subsequent occasions.Director Pradeep Sarkar and actress Deepika Padukone had to pressure Neil to break his self-imposed vow of kiss-celibacy and go through his first on-screen kiss in this movie.
