Factual Mistake
When Sonia is in the lifeboat drinking, there is a motor visible at the rear end of the lifeboat. The next morning however there is no motor in the lifeboat.

Miscellaneous
Raj (second Hrithik Roshan) on knowing that Sonia Saxena (Amisha Patel) is returning to India, decides and makes his journey along with her on the same flight and seats beside her. A person who was born in New Zealand and never been to India cannot decide to fly spontaneously (with in a time span of some minutes) to India without arranging a visa.

Errors in Geography
When Rohit falls into the river stream and people are looking underwater for his body. The underwater scene is clearly not the river stream as there are reefs around and salt water fishes.

Continuity
When Raj meets Rohit's little brother the first time the brother has tears dropping down his cheeks, but only in the profile shots. The frontal shots show no tears.

Continuity
When Sonia is singing Jaaneman her skirt has no under layer, yet later on the beach Rohit rips off the top layer of her skirt leaving a perfectly fine second layer underneath.

Continuity
When Rohit and Sonia arrive on the island, Rohit is wearing party shoes. However in next scene when Sonia saves Rohit from drowning, Rohit is wearing track shoes. Since Rohit and Sonia are on a deserted island, Rohit would not have opportunity to change his shoes at any point of time on the island.

Continuity
When Rohit and Sonia arrive on the island, Rohit is seen pushing the lifeboat. While he is doing so he is in waist deep water. Amazingly when Sonia reaches on the beach her skirt is completely dry although she is shorter than Rohit.
Trivia:
Two climaxes were filmed, one having Raj killed in the end and other having Raj joins with Sonia. For the theatric release they choose the happy ending.

During the first draft of the script Raj and Rohit were two different people with same face. One is bad and another is good. But director Rakesh Roshan didn't like that idea. He wanted both of them good. During the death of one character he wanted the audience to feel saddened.

The gestures shown by Hritihik on his brother like touching his face with hands was taken from the movie Face/Off. During the bike chase sequence and some action scenes, music heard was taken from the same movie "Face/Off".

Due to Rakesh Roshan's beliefs in numerology, his movie titles always begin with the letter K.

During the first days of the filming Hrithik was shy and confused on his dance steps. Choreographer Farah Khan has given him some moral supports and he improved terrifically.

Rakesh Roshan thought of having Shah Rukh Khan in the original draft, but he couldn't create a decent ending. Hrithik Roshan told his dad that he has done enough movies with the Khans, and should pick somebody new. He then gave the role to his son.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was offered the role of Sonia.

It was Hrithik's idea to give eyeglass for Raj's character with a clean shaved persona. But Rakesh Roshan was against that, he wanted Raj and Rohit appearance to be exactly the same.

The actress who played Raj's mother Asha Patel in the movie is Amisha Patel's real-life mother.

Before Hrithik started his acting carrier he was an assistant director under his father Rakesh Roshan. When Hrithik decided to portray the two characters with different physic he phoned Salman and was not sure whether he would remember him. But Salman reorganize him and accept his request. Superstar Salman Khan worked with him in the movie "Karan Arjun".

Due to the huge success of the movie Rakesh Roshan was targeted by the Mafia. For the foreign distribution rights of the film Rakesh Roshan was shot by the Mumbai underworld but survived.

Hrithik Roshan has 6 fingers in his right hand. When he played Raj he tried to cover that defect in every scene by using hand gloves and playing the character as left handed.

Coca-Cola was advertised throughout the film indirectly. After the movie became a smash hit Coca-Cola signed Hrithik Roshan as their new campaign model.

This movie holds the record for winning most awards on all award ceremonies including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Music, Best Actor, Best Newcomers.

This was Pop singer turned actor Lucky Ali's debut as a singer in a movie.

The role of Sonia was first cast with Kareena Kapoor who walked out of the picture a few days after shooting had started. She was then replaced with newcomer Ameesha Patel who became a star overnight when the film became a blockbuster.

Ameesha Patel's parents originally told her that she wasn't allowed to do the film.

Hrithik Roshan used weight training to bulk up for his role. He was trained under the supervision of actor Salman Khan.

After the movie was released in January 2000, New Zealand became more popular for Indians. The number of applications for visas and permits for Indian students and tourists went up so much that the visa office had to be enlarged to the tune of US$500,000. Officials say the sudden rise is caused by the "Hrithik factor."

Hrithik Roshan met his wife for the first time exactly the same way Rohit meets Sonia in the film, at a traffic signal.

This was the biggest Indian hit film of 2000. Overnight, lead actor Hrithik Roshan (in his debut performance, was catapulted into the prestigious status of superstar and became the craze of the nation (hrithikmania).
