Embedded with charged emotion and soulful romance, this multi-layered romantic drama delves into the trials and triumphs in Ammukutty's life. Ammukutty is a beautiful young woman whose father, Ayyappan Nair has always played an important role in her life. As far back as she has known, she has been in love with Appunni, her childhood playmate and sweetheart. However, when it comes time for her marriage, Ayyappan Nair chooses Menon Mash, a wealthy schoolteacher to be the most suitable life partner for her. In order to make her father happy, Ammukutty agrees to the marriage. However, at the auspicious time on the wedding day, Menon Mash does not show up. Faced with public humiliation, and afraid that he has been betrayed by Menon, Ayyappan Nair completes Ammukutty's marriage with the truly loving Appunni, who submits to everything quietly. Then, in another twist, Menon Mash frantically arrives at the wedding too late to stop the marriage. He convinces Nair that he did not mean to cheat or betray, but was unavoidably delayed. Now, Nair and Mash want to do the unthinkable – they wish to annul Ammukutty's marriage with Appunni and get her married once more, this time to Menon Mash. Will Ammukutty accept their decision? How will their respective futures unfold?
