'Ye Maaya Chesave' is a poignant and contemporary love story that delves into concepts of compatibility, attraction, social norms in romantic relationships, inter-religious relationships and the stigma faced by such couples.
This youthful romantic drama revolves around Karthik who finishes engineering school and aspires to become a filmmaker. His friend Krishna takes him to director Puri Jagannath and pleads with him to take him as his assistant.
Meanwhile, Karthik accidentally meets his landlord's daughter Jessie and falls for her at first sight. Despite being younger than her, Karthik expresses his love for her and his desire to have a relationship with her. Her father Joseph will not accept his daughter to marry a Hindu.
