Youthful and upbeat, this action-oriented romantic drama traces the trials and triumphs in the life of Siva (Madhavan), an intelligent and fearless young man who comes to the big city of Chennai from a small town in the interiors of Tamil Nadu, in order to pursue his higher education. In a quirk of fate, he finds his goals completely changed after he instantly falls madly in love with an elusive stranger, who resists his charms quite persistently. Siva later discovers that his beloved is Priya (Meera Jasmine) and that romancing her could turn out to be a most dangerous proposition, as she just happens to be the sister of the city's most violent gangster.
