This is the dubbed Hindi version of the Malayalam horror film Vayanadhan Thamban (1978).

The film was released in theatres in August 1984, then quietly released onto video in 1995.

Joginder bought the Hindi dubbing rights from the producer then changed the film. Joginder shot scenes of himself playing the devil and inserted them into the original film.
