One stormy night, a young and beautiful maiden, Naina escapes with her mother to another place to escape the clutched of the evil zamindar's son, Jeevan Singh. Naina is separated from her mother and saved by Manjhi, a boat man who takes her to shelter and introduces her to his temple Pujari, and is welcomed by their love, along with a widow Chachi and an orphan child Tongi. Naina and Manjhi grow close to each other which disturbs Manjhi's childhood friend Shyamo who also loves him. Jeevan returns to destroy Naina, joins forces with Shyamo and plots to separate them. Their plans succeed when Manjhi makes a statue with Naina's face, which causes humiliation to the Pujari, and gets him beaten by Jeevan's thugs. The lovers are separated by the Villains. Will the lovers surpass all these difficult obstacles and stay united?
