Kishorilal, a billionaire American NRI, deputes his nephew Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan) to choose an appropriate Indian bride for his American-Indian son Rajiv (Apoorva Agnihotri). Ganga (Mahima Choudhary), the beautiful daughter of Krishorilal’s old friend is chosen as the bride-to-be. However, when Ganga visits her fiance, Rajiv in America, she realizes the cultural differences that divide them but refuses to change her Indian values. Arjun, the catalyst, joins her struggle. He helps her return to India with purity of mind, but when the dark shadow of suspicion about the nature of their relationship arises, they are forced to stand up for themselves and listen to their hearts for once.
