Based on an Estonian novel, Liina, a young girl in love with Hans, a village boy. Her yearning for him makes her a werewolf, as she jumps into a freezing pond, ready to die for love. All this while the villagers try to survive the winter by guarding their souls with the help of mysterious creatures known as the Kratts.
