Embedded with quirky comedy and vibrant Punjabi cultural elements, this contemporary romantic drama delves into the twists and turns in the life of Roop, a happy-go-lucky young man who is born and brought up in the UK. More than 20 years ago, his father, Gurnaam, had left behind his teary-eyed parents back in their hometown of Farmahi and settled down in the UK.
Now, two decades later, with his parents deceased, Roop travels to Farmahi to meet Gurdit, his grandfather, who welcomes him with open arms. Gurdit's sister wants Roop to get married, and he chooses to do so with Reet Brar. Gurdit accordingly meets with Reet's dad, who gladly accepts this alliance. Will Roop and Reet have a fairytale wedding, or will there be another twist in the tale?
