This film began in the year 1974 and due to death of the Producer and Director B.R.Panthalu, then MGR took up the direction and finished the film.
Nine Cameras were used for the climax scene. 5 Directors (P.Neelakandan, K.Shankar, MGR, Karnan and Sekar) and 4 cameramen handled the cameras.
In duet songs the location of Jaipur Palace is changed to Somnath Palace, the location is not noticeable.
This movie was bestowed with the award for Best Movie (சிறந்த திரைப்படம்) By The Tamil Nadu Government Award (Tamizh Arasin Parisu).
