Life Is Beautiful (2000)

This touching tale revolves around the inspiring life of Vinayachandran (Mohanlal), an honest and sincere man who always sees the silver lining in life. He is married to his soulmate, Sindhu (Samyukta Varma) with whom he shares such an ideal relationship that their bond is considered exemplary according to their neighbours Nambiarettan (Innocent) and Shoshammetathi (KPAC Lalitha). A major challenge arrives in Vinayan's life when he joins a reputed public school as a Malayalam teacher. However, in an increasingly Anglicised and westernised world, teaching Malayalam is considered unpopular. This prompts him to adopt innovative and creative new methods to ensure that the students enjoy learning the language. What kind of influence will Vinayan's unconventional teaching style have upon the students? Will the school's administration allow and encourage him?
