Continuity
While driving the jeep, Shekhar is holding a revolver (with his finger on the trigger) in close-ups. However in the wider shots he has no gun.

Continuity

Continuity
8 police officers, which were supposed to bring Dr. Iqbal Ansari back to Mumbai, were shot dead in cold blood by an unknown group, assumed terrorists. The Police Chief decides to send a team of 5 police officers to bring him; it doesn't explain what these 5 officers had which was so special, which the other 8 obviously didn't have.

Continuity
Yashwant Angre shoots just the constable running on the railway track towards the train when Inspector Ashwin Gupte is an even easier target to kill.
Trivia:
Akshaye Khanna was initially approached to play Sub Inspector Ashwin Gupte.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan injured her leg in a jeep accident during filming.

Jayapradha had a full-fledged role, but because of her commitment to her sick husband who was hospitalized, her role was trimmed down to a guest appearance.

Rajkumar Santoshi wanted to make a film about cops with Amitabh Bachchan ever since he was involved as an assistant in Ardh Satya.

Rajkumar Santoshi had wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be in his film since he dropped her out of Lajja.

The director's initial plan was to hire all the main actors with names starting with alphabet A. Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Atul Kulkarni, Amrish Puri and Akshaye Khanna. However, Akshaye Khanna dropped out and was replaced with Tushhar Kapoor on short notice (hence the odd one out).

Rajkumar Santoshi narrated the story of the movie to Amar Singh (politician), who had arranged the meeting with Amitabh Bachchan and the film started with his blessings. Also, during the film's production he went out of his way to obtain permission to shoot on the train. Hence the reason Amar Singh is thanked in the opening credits.

The actor's name who played the role of Constable Kamlesh Sawant is Kamlesh Sawant.

Ram Sampath's first mainstream Hindi film as a music director.

Ajay Devgan's second negative role after Deewangee (2002).

Prakash Raj's voice was dubbed.
