Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2016)

This insightful comedy opens with two friends 'Pattai' Murugan (Sivakarthikeyan) and 'Theni' Kesavan (Vimal), who are unemployed and wish to embark upon a career in politics, primarily in order to gain wealth without any hard work.

Meanwhile, Murugan meets Paappaa (Regina Cassandra) and falls for her. Kesavan meets Mithra Meenalochini (Bindu Madhavi) and falls for her. Paappaa and Mithra, too, fall for them after much confusion.

When elections are conducted for the post of Councillor, Murugan stands for it. Paappaa gives Murugan money to spend for the election. Eventually Murugan loses the election. Unable to bear the shock, Murugan's father dies by falling off the train platform. Murugan gets his father's job. Kesavan marries Mithra.

Murugan and Paappaa patiently await their parents' approval for their marriage and their wedding is conducted with their blessings. Finally, Murugan and Kesavan realise and regret their lazy and irresponsible behaviour of the past. They begin to appreciate the value of hard work and salute the invaluable guidance provided by their fathers.
