Jaume Balagueró is a Spanish film director widely known for his horror films, most notably the acclaimed REC series. He began his filmmaking career with the short video projects El niño bubónico and La invención de la leche. His film "Alicia" won the prize for Best Short Film at the Sitges Film Festival. He made his feature-length film debut with The Nameless, the film appeared at festivals worldwide, winning several awards including Best Film at the Fant-Asia Film Festival.
