Where did you watch this movie?

For nineteen-year-old Jay, Autumn should be about school, boys and week-ends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

In the opening sequence, Annie runs in front of her house in red pumps. Later at the beach when we see her twisted body, the pumps are black.

Factual Mistake
When Jay and Paul are at the high school trying to discover Hugh's true identity, the principal makes a PA announcement about the fall musical "The Mouse That Roared," which is a real stage play adapted by Christopher Sergel from the novel of the same name by Leonard Wibberley, but is not a musical.
Trivia:
The Redford Theatre in Detroit, MI (The theatre featured at the beginning of the film) is the same theatre that Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert G. Tapert first premiered The Evil Dead (1981)_qv in 1981.

The theatre featured at the beginning of the film is The Redford Theatre, a historic Japanese style theatre with a fully functioning Wurlitzer organ, in Redford, Detroit, MI.

Jay is short for Jamie, which some have said is a reference to scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis. In the film, Jay has a younger sister named Kelly. In real life, Jamie Lee Curtis also has a younger sister named Kelly.

The film's concept derives from a recurring nightmare the director used to have, where he would be stalked by a predator that continually walked slowly towards him.
