Adhi was born on the 20th of February, 1990. His first exposure to rap came when his neighbor had shown him Michael Jackson's "Jam". He uploaded rap songs to the internet and positive responses and people encouraged him to start rapping in Tamil. He named his account on YouTube as "Hihop Tamizha", with a picture of the Tamil poet Subramania Bharati, to avoid being caught by his parents. He composed the song "Club le Mabbule" in the first year of his college which launched him into instant a viral popularity. "Club Le Mabbule" was accepted for airplay via radio while his other songs had not been aired even once. He signed an international album with Remy Martin, titled International Tamizhan which was initially scheduled to release on the 15th of August 2014, however, Hiphop Tamizha instead released the album's song "Vaadi Pulla Vaadi" as a single on the same date. He has sung songs such as "Thapellam Thappe Illai" for Naan (2012), the title track for "Ethir Neechal" (2013), he wrote the song "Sudden Delight", which was composed by Santhosh Narayanan for the film "Soodhu Kavvum", "Chennai City Gangster" along with Hard Kaur for "Vanakkam Chennai". His third collaboration with Anirudh was for Kaththi (2014) in which he sang the song "Pakkam Vanthu". His first film as a music composer was "Aambala" (2015), "Netru Indru Naalai". He also composed for "Thani Oruvan" which topped Apple Music's Best of 2015 list in the category "Best Tamil Album of the Year". He has also composed for "Aranmanai 2" and "Kathakali", he's also working on "Thamizhan Endru Sol", "Dhruva" which marks their Telugu Debut, "Kaththi Sandai", "Imaikkaa Nodigal", and Kavan. He made his acting and directorial debut with the 2017 film "Meesaya Murukku".
